Oschadbank allocates over $4.5 million to Suziria Group for production development in Ivano-Frankivsk region

Oschadbank has entered into an investment loan agreement with Suziria Group for an amount exceeding USD 4.5 million in equivalent.

The company will use the funds to build a new wet pet food production line in Kalush (Ivano-Frankivsk region).

Suziria Group is a Ukrainian family-owned enterprise, one of the leaders in the pet industry in Ukraine. After the rocket attacks on Kharkiv, the company moved its grain feed production to Kalush and started making meat treats for dogs and cats. At the same time, some of the production facilities in Kharkiv continue to operate. In addition, Suziria Group produces wet pet food at partner facilities in the EU. The development of its own production will help the company to gradually abandon imports of this product category and expand its sales geography. In three years, Suziria Group plans to start exporting wet pet food made in Ukraine to the European market.

To finance the construction of new production facilities that will allow it to produce 10,000 tons of wet pet food per year, Suziria Group, in addition to financing from Oschadbank, attracted a $2 million grant from the USAID Investment for Business Sustainability project.

"Suziria Group's investment project is a symbol of the resilience of Ukrainian business and faith in our victory. A company that has relocated part of its business from Kharkiv, that invests in its own production facilities in Ukraine, gradually abandoning the manufacture of products abroad, truly deserves respect, admiration and support. The combination of $4.5 million in loan funds from Oschad and $2 million in grant funding from USAID significantly reduced the company's payback period for the investment project. Given Suziria Group's ambitions to export its own products, we are confident that these investments in the development of production facilities are just the beginning. The company plans to double its production volumes in the next 5 years”, said Yurii Katsion, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank, responsible for corporate business.

"We are grateful to our partners for such strong support and belief in our intention to develop production and contribute to the growth of the share of exports of products made in Ukraine. This is a contribution not only to the development of the domestic pet market, which, by the way, is the fastest growing in Europe. It also includes new working cities, infrastructure development, and support for Ukrainian raw material suppliers. We believe in the power of partnership and are convinced that together we can more effectively restore the business climate in Ukraine and promote economic development despite the challenges of a full-scale war”, said Polina Kosharna, co-owner of Suziria
