Owner of Bank Lviv, Margeir Petursson from Iceland, obtained permission for acquisition of 99.8001% shares of financial company Integral Investments from Lviv. The National Commission for Regulation of Financial Services Markets issued the correspondent approval dated February 6 under registration number 170.
Margeir Petursson is a Grand Master at chess. After finishing his chess career, he went into banking. In 2006, Margeir Petursson bought Bank Lviv. In July 2017, New Progress Holding from Kyiv, associated with the Icelandic investor, reduced its shareholding in Lviv Bank from 99,8857% to 90,0767% of the bank shares.
In September last year, we reported that Bank Lviv carried negotiation on selling 40% stake to Swiss investment bank ResponsAbility Participations AG. As of October 1, 2017 Bank Lviv was ranked 44th among 88 banks in Ukraine in terms of assets. The assets of the bank amounted to UAH 1.6bn (USD 57mln) at that time. To note, Integral Investments is registered in Lviv and its charter capital amounts to UAH 5,1mln.
