Ukrainian venture fund Resist.UA plans to invest in Danish Defense Tech company BlueShadow as part of its €2 million pre-seed round. The parties have already signed a letter of intent, although the specific amount to be invested by the Ukrainian fund has not yet been disclosed.
BlueShadow announced the agreement on LinkedIn. The company plans to use the funds to further develop its maritime defense technologies, including the BlueDragon and BlueSentry systems, as well as to expand cooperation with Ukrainian partners.
One of BlueShadow’s key products is BlueDragon, a system being developed to protect Ukrainian coastal cities, ports and maritime transport routes from attacks by strike drones. BlueShadow says the technology aligns with Resist.UA’s investment focus on defense solutions developed with Ukraine’s needs in mind.
Another company development is BlueSentry. BlueShadow plans to launch the system in October 2026. It is designed to protect maritime infrastructure from hybrid attacks, including ports, offshore wind farms, subsea cables and maritime borders.
Cooperation between BlueShadow and Resist.UA began with the companies’ first meeting in January 2026. Since then, the Danish startup has continued developing its products and preparing to raise €2 million in its pre-seed round. In parallel, Resist.UA launched a new investment fund, Resist 2.0, focused on financing Ukrainian defense technologies.
BlueShadow operates between Copenhagen and Kyiv and plans to scale its solutions in international markets. The company positions its technologies as tools for protecting maritime infrastructure and assets from modern unmanned and hybrid threats.
The parties have not yet disclosed the financial terms of the planned transaction. In particular, it is not known how much Resist.UA will invest in BlueShadow or what stake the Ukrainian fund may receive. It is only known that the investment will be made as part of the €2 million pre-seed round.
For Resist.UA, the transaction will form part of its strategy to expand investments in defense technologies. In July 2026, the fund announced the launch of Resist 2.0, a €50 million fund focused on financing Ukrainian Defense Tech companies. The fund’s investment strategy covers projects related to the development of defense technologies and their subsequent scaling.
