Retailer Varus buys Billa stores in cities of Dnipro and Zaporozhia

Dnipro based companies of Saltor Plus, Ariant, and Milton-Group got permission from AMCU to purchase property complexes belonging to Billa-Ukraine

Saltor Plus and Ariant are buying two Billa stores in Dnipro, and Milton-Group purchases a Billa supermarket in Zaporizhia.

The three buying entities belong to Kingsbarns Holdings Limited and Mitaly Holdings Limited registered in British Virgin Islands. At the same time, the owners of the Varus supermarket chain Valery Kiptyk and Ruslan Shostak received permission from the AMCU for the acquisition of Kingsbarns Holdings Limited and Mitaly Holdings Limited on December 15, 2016.

World brand Billa is managed by the company Billa-Ukraine, which was established in 1998 by the Rewe Group in Ukraine. The first Billa supermarket appeared in Kyiv in February 2000.

According to the latest information, Billa retail chain has17 supermarkets in Kiev, Obukhov (Kiev region), Zhytomyr, Dnipro and Odessa in Ukraine.

German Rewe Group, owners of Billa supermarkets in Central and Eastern Europe, does not plan to leave Ukraine, but considers closing stores in some of the regions of Ukraine.
