In July 2023, businessman Dmitry Firtash bought out Sergei Levochkin’s share of TV Channel Inter and changed the company’s management in November. This was reported on the channel’s website and on the Group DF website.
Previously, Levochkin was a minority shareholder of the TV channel, owning 20% in the Cyprus GDF Media Limited (which, together with Valery Khoroshkovsky’s K.H. Media Limited, owned 90% of the TV channel) through Ovitilio Ltd.
In July 2023, Levochkin ceased to be a key participant in the entity as a result of the sale of 100% of the shares of Ovitilio Ltd in favor of Group DF Holdings Limited. Thus, Firtash's share in Inter increased from 53.4% to 59.5%.
The ownership structure of the Inter TV channel now looks like this:
- 61% - Ukrainian Media Project LLC (equally Dmitry Firtash and Valery Khoroshkovsky);
- 29% - Group DF Holdings (Dmitry Firtash);
- 10% – Pegas Television LLC (Svetlana Pluzhnikova).
On November 14, 2023, the shareholders of the Inter TV channel changed the management of the company. Chairman of the Board Ekaterina Shkuratova will be replaced in her position by Alexander Pilipets, who was previously director of National Information Systems LLC.
There have also been changes to Inter's supervisory board. In particular, Anna Bezlyudnaya, who had been a representative of Ukrainian Media Project LLC since 2015, left it. She will continue to collaborate with the company at the Group DF Media level. Robert Shetler Jones remains the head of the channel's supervisory board.
Inter Group has a share of just over 5% in the Ukrainian market, trailing its main competitors Starlight Media and 1+1 media by four to five times.
