Toloka.vc Invests $1.2 Million in Ukrainian-American Logistics Startup Forward Group

The Toloka.vc investment syndicate has invested $1.2 million in Forward Group, a Ukrainian-American logistics startup operating in the FreightTech segment

Forward Group develops AI-driven solutions to automate logistics processes for carriers, shippers, and 3PL operators. The company announced the deal on December 18. Its products are already used by clients in the United States and across Europe.

Forward Group is developing two core products. The first is Cargofy, an AI dispatcher for trucking companies that automates freight search and booking, route optimization, and communication with drivers. The solution integrates with freight marketplaces and telematics systems, including Samsara and Project44. According to the company, deploying Cargofy enables a single dispatcher to manage a fleet up to ten times larger than usual, while a fleet of 315 trucks can reduce costs by approximately $83,000 per month by cutting idle time.

The second product, Cargohub, is a platform that automates freight tendering for shippers and 3PL operators. It covers the entire procurement cycle—from creating requests for quotations to collecting and ranking carrier bids. On average, platform users run more than 250 tenders per month, while procurement timelines are reduced from several days to just a few hours. Both solutions integrate with ERP and TMS systems and can operate via email, voice-based AI interfaces, messaging apps, and APIs.

Over the past six months, Forward Group has doubled the revenue of its Cargohub product and reached $9.1 million in annual recurring revenue. The company’s gross margin stands at 71%, and the number of paying Cargofy customers exceeds 2,000. The startup has also begun working with large corporate fleets in the United States, each operating more than 100 trucks. One such client managed to cut annual logistics costs by more than $5 million. The company reports an LTV-to-CAC ratio of approximately 9.5, while revenue per employee reaches $171,000.

Forward Group was founded by serial SaaS entrepreneur Stakh Vozniak. The company’s Chief Technology Officer is Oleksandr Kovalchuk, who previously worked at the State Space Agency of Ukraine and has over ten years of experience in artificial intelligence and logistics systems. The commercial function is led by Dimitrios Alexiou, who brings 15 years of experience in international logistics, including at Maersk.

The global logistics software market is valued at $14.4 billion and is projected to grow at an annual rate of approximately 18%. Forward Group works with both carriers and shippers and plans to scale its business in 2026, while also exploring strategic merger and acquisition opportunities.

Toloka.vc is a Ukrainian venture syndicate founded in 2023 by Taras Kyrychenko, Ihor Shoifot, and Oleksandr Kolb. The platform brings together more than 1,800 investors and has completed 22 investments totaling over $22.5 million.
