Truskavetska Secures Four New Water Extraction Licenses

Owners of the Truskavetska mineral water brand have obtained four special licenses for water extraction in Lviv region to expand production capacity

The brand’s owners continue to strengthen their control over natural resource extraction in Ukraine’s Lviv region. Aqua-Eco LLC, a company with foreign capital that produces bottled water under the Truskavetska brand, has transferred four special subsoil use licenses to another company owned by the brand’s shareholders — Nedra-T LLC, according to Ukraine’s State Service of Geology and Subsoil.

According to the published orders, the move involves the re-registration of licenses for the extraction of mineral natural table underground waters at several sites: the North-Western section of the Pomiretske field (well No. 9807/25), the Yaruzhno-Pomiretske field (well No. 9912/38), the Yaruzhno-Pomiretske-1 field (wells No. 0112/50 and No. 0605/66), as well as the Yanchurkivske field, Yanchurkivskyi section (wells No. 0411/61 and No. 0412/62).

The State Service of Geology and Subsoil noted that inspections revealed no violations of subsoil use conditions or outstanding royalty payments.

According to the YouControl analytical system, the beneficiaries of Nedra-T LLC and Aqua-Eco LLC, through Truskavetska LLC, are Oleksandr Svyshchov (50%), Tomasz Fiala, Maria Fiala, Lukas Fiala, and David Fiala (0.05% each), as well as Czech citizen Ivo Suchý and Cypriot citizen Jarmila Janošová (16.6% each).

Aqua-Eco’s financial results for 2024 show revenue growth to UAH 264 million, up from UAH 215 million in 2023, while the company reported a net loss of UAH 61 million.

The expansion of the group’s assets is linked to the investment activity of Tomasz Fiala, founder of Dragon Capital. In November 2023, he acquired another producer of Truskavetska mineral water — Firma T.S.B. LLC — and two years earlier became the owner of Aqua-Eco. At the time, the deal was estimated at approximately $4 million.

In June 2024, it became known that Tomasz Fiala’s investment company was developing a project for a new Truskavetska bottling plant. The new facility is expected to be larger than the company’s two existing plants and capable of producing up to one million bottles per day, which would allow the brand to rank second in the Ukrainian market, surpassing competitor Karpatska Dzherelna.

The total investment volume has not been officially disclosed. According to Truskavets Mayor Andrii Kulchynskyi, investments in the plant exceed €35 million, while competitors’ representatives, including Serhii Ustenko, owner of Karpatski Mineralni Vody, estimate the project at around €20 million.
