u.ventures became an investor in the Ukrainian startup Competera, which is developing an intelligent price optimization platform for retailers. The capital infusion will enable Competera to expand its AI capabilities, service offerings and scale globally.
Horizon Capital and u.ventures investment director Bogdan Svyrydov said the fund is the only investor in this seed+ round.
The amount of the deal is not disclosed. "U.ventures' first check at the seed stage is usually from $300,000 to $500,000. In follow-on rounds, we can significantly increase our total investment," says Svyrydov.
