The parties have signed a corresponding document

The agreement for EUR 5mln Danube translational program was signed by Ukraine, Hungary and the EU in Brussels in the frames of the Council of the association between the EU and Ukraine. This agreement gives right for the European Commission to give loans to Ukrainian parties involved in the Danube transnational program.

It is expected that the funds will be channeled mainly into raising awareness and readiness for the ecological risks in the regions of the Danube river. Several cross-border cooperation projects are part of the program aiming at social-economic development in the Danube regions of Odessa, Ivano-Frankivsk, TransCarpathian, as well as Kyiv regions of Ukraine.
