The organizers of the deal were financial groups of BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. The road show for the Eurobonds placement was held in London, New York and Boston last week . During the registration of the bidding applications, Ukraine managed to significantly reduce the yield of Eurobonds. Initially, the yield was 7.75%, then it was lowered to 7.625%, and the final yields varied at 7.375-7.5% coming down to the lower margin.
Worth noting that Ukraine’s Eurobonds made a considerable demand among foreign investors. Cumulative amount of applications totaled USD 9.bn.
Eurobonds repayment has an amortization schedule to be carried out in 4 equal tranches during 2031-2032.
About USD 1.6bn of the raised funds will be channeled for the payments of the repurchased eurobonds that mature in 2019 and 2020. As a result, the net increase in government debt of the placement will add up USD 1.4bn to the corresponding balance account.
The Europbonds mature on September 25, 2032.
The attracted funds will be disbursed into the account of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine on September 25, 2017.
