The International Monetary Fund mission is to start work this week for the seventh review of the EFF joint programme. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal following a meeting with Alfred Kammer, Director of the IMF's European Department.
The parties discussed further cooperation between Ukraine and the IMF as well as the results of cooperation. The Head of the Ukrainian Government noted that as part of the work on six revisions of the EFF programme, Ukraine had managed to attract USD 9.8 billion. In total, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the International Monetary Fund has provided our country with more than USD 12.4 billion.
"Cooperation with the Fund is an essential factor for our financial stability. The Government is systematically working in this direction. In 2025, we plan to attract USD 2.7 billion from the IMF," Denys Shmyhal stressed.
He underlined that despite the full-scale war, Ukraine was implementing the necessary reforms, and thanked the IMF for its support.
