Ukrainian-born startup Let’s Enhance that works on an automated image processing platform Claid for online marketplaces has landed $3 million in seed funding. The round was led by Chamaeleon, with Margo Georgiadis, Hype Ventures, and Acrobator among other participants. The startups says that the entire fundraising process happened online, which seems to have become quite normal these days.
Founded in 2018 by Sofi Shvets and Vlad Pranskevičius, the startup has been working on its image enhancement technology for a couple of years before launching Claid, a product with a clear focus on marketplace clients. The company cites “e-commerce, real estate, travel and foodtech marketplaces that work with visuals in high volume” as its main target market.
Simply put, Claid employs machine learning algorithms to automatically adjust product photos and make them look as good as possible — while saving 90 percent of the time that’d be necessary to process the images manually. Claid is available through an API where customers can specify their processing needs, such as improving quality, clean enhancement, color and tone correction, removing background, and image compression.
Let’s Enhance counts Mixtiles, Pollinate, and Vente-privee among its customers. The company also stated that its annual revenue has crossed the $1 million mark, while its team had tripled over the past year.
