Ukrainian Eco-Battery Startup SorbiForce Raises Over $270K in Investment

SorbiForce, the developer of a non-metal eco-friendly battery, raised $270,000 via the crowdfunding platform StartEngine

Ukrainian-founded startup SorbiForce, led by co-founder and CEO Serhii Kaminskyi, has raised over $270,000 through the crowdfunding platform StartEngine.

According to the platform, the campaign attracted 183 investors, with a minimum investment threshold of $500. The company’s reported valuation stands at $20 million.

SorbiForce was founded in Ukraine in 2017 and is currently registered in Delaware, USA. The startup’s LinkedIn page describes the product as “the world’s first non-metal eco-battery,” noting that most conventional batteries rely on rare earth metals such as lithium.

The battery is claimed to be highly cost-effective, completely safe, environmentally neutral, and made from renewable materials.

SorbiForce states that its mission is to enable a global transition to renewable energy through the creation, adoption, and worldwide distribution of non-metallic batteries in the energy storage sector.
