Ukrainian subsidiary of Sberbank of Russia to acquire two hotels in Odessa

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine issued the corresponding permissions for the acquisition

The daughter of Sberbank of Russia in Ukraine obtained permission from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the acquisition of two hotels located in Odessa and belonging to the current owner of Chornomorets football club.

The hotels are located in the downtown of Odessa city at Panteleimonovska and Rishelievska streets. The assets are part of the Tourist and Production Company Black Sea. Last year we wrote that State run OpenMarket SETAM put the hotel of Black Sea Rishelevskaya up for sale because of default on debts.   At that time, the price tag for the hotel of 12 thousand sq. m and 225 rooms was at USD 9mln.

According to the State Register, the final beneficiary of the PJSC Tourist and Production Company Black Sea is Leonid Klimov, who together with his business partner Alexander Lizhenkov are ultimate beneficiaries of the PJSC Chornomorets Football Club.

The Black Sea hotel chain operates nine hotels in Odessa and Odessa region, and in Kyiv.
