Ukrenergo plans to take EUR 130mln loan from EIB

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is studying a possibility of allocating the facility to help synchronise electric system related to Ukrenergo with Europe

The EIB may provide USD 130mln loan for Ukrenergo to help modernize its electrical substations in order to integrate Ukrainian electric system into the grid of Europeans operators ENTSO-E.

The modernization plan is aimed at improving the energy efficiency and reliability of equipment. The facility will also help to reduce operating costs of Ukrenergo.  UKRENERGO NPC SE is a power company responsible for operational and technological control of the Integrated Power System (IPS) of Ukraine and electricity transmission via trunk power grids from generating plants to distribution networks of regional electricity suppliers.
