A new industrial park worth over UAH 1 billion will be developed in Vinnytsia, specializing in paper processing and the production of paper-based goods. The Cabinet of Ministers has added the “Ecological Initiatives” park to the Register of Industrial Parks. It is established for a 30-year term, with the project initiated by Torhtekhnika Paper and Cardboard Mill LLC, according to the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture.
The new park will join a nationwide network of more than 111 industrial parks. It will cover nearly 11.5 hectares, and its implementation is expected to create more than 340 jobs in the processing industry. Required investment is estimated at UAH 1.08 billion, to be sourced from the initiator’s own funds, resources of the managing company, state support, private investments, resident investors, and savings generated through tax incentives.
Companies operating within the park will focus on wastepaper processing, paper and cardboard production, pulp manufacturing, corrugated packaging, and logistics. According to the OECD, the share of the processing industry in Ukraine’s GDP currently stands at 10.3%, but the Ministry of Economy expects this figure to double over the next decade due to the expansion of industrial parks.
The ministry estimates that one hectare of an industrial park can generate up to 50 jobs; each hryvnia of public investment attracts 5–6 hryvnias in private capital; and one dollar of private investment generates approximately 19 dollars in tax revenues and fees over five years.
