Western NIS Enterprise Fund launches new fund for investing in startups in Ukraine and Moldova

Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) announced the opening of a new venture fund U.Ventures with the investment focus in IT startups in Ukraine and Moldova

With more than two decades of successful experience investing in small and medium-sized companies in Ukraine and Moldova, Western NIS Enterprise Fund established U.Ventures to invest in early stage technology startups with world-class teams and a global potential for growth.

The U.Ventures fund has already invested more than $2,300,000 in six companies that are new leaders in their segments and are actively entering international markets. In the fund's portfolio: Petcube, SIXA, eTachki, .io analytics, Rallyware.

U.Ventures will invest in early stage startups from Ukraine and Moldova, emerging leaders in their segments, quickly expanding into global markets. Our initial investment can range from 100,000 to 500,000 USD.

Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) is a $150 million regional fund, a pioneer in Ukraine and Moldova with more than two decades of successful experience in investing in small and medium-sized companies. WNISEF was funded by the U.S. government via the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Since its inception, WNISEF’s cumulative investments total over $168 million to 118 companies employing around 25 000 people and made it possible to unlock $1.5 billion for companies in Ukraine and Moldova.

In 2015 WNISEF has launched a $35 million legacy program focused on export promotion, local economic development, impact investing and economic leadership.
