ZAS Ventures Invests in Ukrainian Startup Gamow Tech at €2.4M Valuation to Improve IVF Success Rates

Ukrainian startup Gamow Tech, which has developed an AI-based technology to enhance the success of in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures, has secured investment from venture fund ZAS Ventures

According to the fund, the company’s valuation at the time of the deal amounted to €2.4 million.

Gamow Tech is developing ReSpindle — an innovative tool that uses computer vision technology to analyze human oocytes. The system detects chromosomal abnormalities, one of the main causes of declining fertility in women with age. The technology enables non-invasive, real-time assessment of egg cell viability, while its cost is significantly lower than that of traditional genetic testing.

The startup has already signed nine R&D agreements with leading IVF centers across several countries. These partnerships collectively represent more than 1% of the global assisted reproductive technology (ART) market.

The newly raised funds will be used to complete clinical validation of the technology, obtain European CE mark certification, and scale the product internationally.

ZAS Ventures founder Andrii Zinchuk noted that the investment in Gamow Tech aligns with the fund’s strategy to support Ukrainian deep-tech teams addressing global challenges in women’s health and reproductive medicine.

Gamow Tech was founded by embryologist Pavlo Mazur (featured in the Netflix documentary Unnatural Selection), biophysicist Kostiantyn Hnennyi, and deep-tech entrepreneur Maksym Slyzko. The team also includes former Reface specialist Davyd Maiboroda, who joined as Chief Technology Officer.

Since its establishment in 2023, ZAS Ventures has invested in 17 startups in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), medtech, and SaaS, focusing on Ukrainian technology ventures with global potential.
