The Ukrainian-Austrian association proposed the construction of small hydroelectric power plants in the Lviv region. The project is planned to be carried out jointly with Austrian companies that have the necessary technologies and experience in this field, using Austrian equipment.
This was announced by the President of the Association, Alfred Praus, at a meeting with the head of Lviv OVA Maksym Kozytskyi on March 18, 2024.
The parties discussed potential bilateral projects and attracting investors to their implementation.
"The introduction of hydroelectric power plants can be a pilot project. An interested investor must have the proper documentation, find a manufacturer of equipment ready to provide it, process it and set a price, as well as conclude a loan agreement with the bank," LOVA's economic policy department reports.
LOVA officials also announced other areas that may be of interest to investors:
- Lviv Region is interested in trade contacts and the possibility of exporting products to international markets. We want not only to expand the assortment, but also to improve technological processes in the food industry. We aim to focus on organic products and deep processing to meet the demand of European consumers for high quality products.
- We have expertise in the field of electrical engineering, which allows us not only to attract the attention of partners and investors, but also to compete on the world market. It is important to use this potential.
- There is interest in the construction of new factories, because these are jobs, salaries, and taxes paid. This is an important investment in the stability of our state.
