“Today we are making a decision that will allow us to receive 200 million euros from the European Investment Bank to ensure the operation of the Kaniv, Kremenchuk, and Dnipro hydroelectric power plants. These are the costs of purchasing equipment for recovery after Russian terrorist attacks,” Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said.
In addition, the government has approved another €100 million from the EIB to modernize district heating systems and improve energy efficiency in Ukrainian cities. It is planned to upgrade boilers, turbines, and engines.
Preparations are also underway for the construction of the Kaniv PSP, which is to become the first hydroelectric power station in Ukraine resistant to missile strikes.
