Germany to provide EUR 72mln loan for Ukraine

The facility is aiming at economic development and energy efficiency projects in Ukraine

The loan will also be used for regional projects and help for internally displaced people, told the vice minister of economic development and trade Maxim Nefiodov. Prior to the visit of Ukrainian delegation to Germany, German side had voiced its readiness to provide up to EUR 300mln loans for energy, infrastructure and railroad facilities.

To note, foreign exchange reserves amounted to USD 15.514bn as of end-October, according to the NBU. In October alone, payments upon government loans and state guarantee loans stood at USD 365mln.
