IMF to provide USD 178.7mln loan for Moldova

The facility will be provided for three years

The first tranche worth USD 36mln will be remitted in the nearest future.  The action plan of Moldavian government is aiming at strengthening of economic stabilizing factors and structural reforms, in financial sector in particular. The last program of IMF with Moldova ended back in April 2013. The country made use of USD 570mln facility. The EU and IMF terminated cooperation having revealed a leak of USD 1bn from three Moldavian banks.
