According to the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, the implemented projects allowed to increase the total capacity of “clean” electric power industry in Ukraine by three times, that is to 6.8 GW.
In general, the existing clean energy capacities allow producing more than 8.4 billion kW/h of electricity annually (about 5.5% of the total production).
The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine estimates the reducing of air emissions due to renewable electricity power by 9.2 million tons of CO2 per annum.
The Agency recalled that as early as in April 2020, the first auction sales are planned, the main purpose of which is to reduce the cost of “clean” energy for consumers and increase competing among investors.
