Ribas Hotels Group to Invest €4.5 Million in Solar Energy Park in Southern Odesa Region

Ribas Hotels Group founder and CEO Artur Lupashko announced the construction of a solar energy park in the south of the Odesa region, near the borders with Moldova and Romania

Artur Lupashko, founder and CEO of Ribas Hotels Group, announced the launch of a new investment direction within the company’s ecosystem — the construction of a solar energy park in the southern part of the Odesa region, close to the borders with Moldova and Romania.

According to the entrepreneur, construction is scheduled to begin in March. The total investment in the project will amount to €4.5 million. Of this, €1.5 million will come from the company’s own and borrowed funds, while an additional €3 million is planned to be raised from private investors. At the initial stage, investment opportunities will be offered to Ribas’ long-standing partners, with broader access for additional investors at a later stage.

Lupashko noted that southern Odesa is one of the most promising regions in Ukraine for the development of solar generation. The project is positioned as a response to the country’s shortage of energy capacity.

He stated that over the past three years, more than 12,000 MW of energy capacity has been destroyed in Ukraine, while the monthly electricity deficit currently stands at 2,000–2,500 MW, partially covered by imports.

We at Ribas see strong development potential in this sector. It is necessary for the country and economically attractive for business and investors, said Artur Lupashko.
