The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) put on the agenda the issue of providing USD 25mln long-term loan to agro-industrial holding Astarta for the purchase and construction of granaries and sugar warehouse. The committee will take the seat on October 4.
Six grain storage facilities will be erected and some of them purchased with a total capacity of 480 000 tons, the borrowing company informs. According to the project, one sugar storage facility of 50 000 tons will be put into operations too. The new storage facilities are to be located in Poltava and Khmelnytsky regions.
The granaries will be located either upon the untilled lands or at some of the existing logistics facilities. At the same time, the project does not envisage additional land plots leases or so.
The total cost of the project is worth USD 83.1 million, according to the EBRD.
