Top-5 Poultry Producer “Ular” Invests in Expansion of Lviv Region Poultry Farm

One of Ukraine’s largest poultry producers, the group operating under the “Ular” brand, has announced plans to double the capacity of its poultry farm in Hlyniany, Lviv region

Following the modernization, the facility will be capable of raising up to 2.97–2.98 million broilers annually.

The project concerns Gal-Inkom LLC, which is part of the Ular Group. The company plans to reconstruct eight existing poultry houses and build eight new ones. This will allow the company to:

  • increase simultaneous stock to 595,500 broilers;
  • ensure up to five production cycles per year;
  • raise annual output to nearly 3 million birds.

The poultry farm has been operating since 2003. In addition to Hlyniany, the company has production sites in the villages of Zvertiv and Vuzlove, as well as a 44-hectare land bank. According to 2025 results, Gal-Inkom reported UAH 405,000 in net profit, reflecting low margins at the standalone enterprise level and potential efficiency gains through scaling.

In the 2025 Forbes Ukraine ranking, the “Ular” brand placed fifth among the country’s largest poultry producers.

Ukraine’s poultry market is highly concentrated. The dominant position is traditionally held by MHP (brand “Nasha Ryaba”), followed by several large and mid-sized players.

The Ular Group ranks among the top five producers, positioning it as one of the key regional competitors in Western Ukraine. The planned capacity doubling signals:

  • an intention to strengthen its share in the domestic market;
  • preparation for expansion into export channels;
  • potential integration into larger logistics or processing chains.

Estimated Project Scale

With an average broiler weight of 2.0–2.3 kg, the annual production potential could reach approximately 6,000–7,000 tonnes of meat per year.

At an average wholesale price of $1.7–2.2 per kg, this implies potential gross revenue of $10–15 million annually (at full capacity utilization).
