UFuture, the holding company founded by Ukrainian businessman Vasyl Khmelnytsky, has received approval from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) to acquire control over two renewable energy projects owned by the investment and development group UDPR, controlled by brothers Kostiantyn and Serhii Yevtushenko.
The regulator approved the transaction on September 11. The deal concerns the acquisition of control over Nemyrivska Wind Power Plant-1 LLC and Dubenska Combined Solar and Wind Power Plant LLC.
Both companies are 65.5% owned by Inko Capital, a closed-end non-diversified venture investment fund owned by Kostiantyn and Serhii Yevtushenko. The brothers also own UDPR, an investment and development group specializing in renewable energy projects.
The buyer is UFuture Ukraine LLC, part of the UFuture holding. AMCU approval is a required step for establishing control over the two companies implementing alternative energy projects.
