Ukrainian defense technology company DevDroid and Norwegian electronics manufacturer Inission Norge AS have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on potential cooperation in the development and production of remote control systems for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). The agreement was announced on October 20, 2026.
The partnership aims to combine DevDroid’s expertise in developing unmanned ground platforms and control systems with the Norwegian company’s manufacturing capabilities. Potential areas of cooperation include the production of electronics and remote control systems for Ukraine’s Defense Forces and, in the longer term, for Norway and other Scandinavian countries.
DevDroid specializes in developing unmanned ground vehicles, combat modules and remote control systems incorporating artificial intelligence capabilities. In particular, its Droid Box system is designed for remotely controlling UGVs and is already being used in combat operations.
Inission Norge AS operates in the electronics contract manufacturing sector, including the production of radio-frequency components and complex printed circuit boards. The company is part of the international Inission Group, which operates manufacturing facilities in several countries. Its capabilities include electronics manufacturing, industrialization of products and the organization of serial production.
The companies’ executives expect to combine Ukrainian expertise in robotic systems with Norwegian experience in industrial electronics manufacturing. Such cooperation could support the scaling of technologies and the development of products for Ukrainian and international markets.
However, specific production volumes, project implementation timelines and the planned number of units have not yet been disclosed. The signed memorandum provides a framework for exploring potential cooperation and does not confirm that serial production has already begun.
