The news was shared by Taras Baran, Commercial Director of Agroprodservice, during the New Food Summit conference.
“Together with Molokia, we are launching a new project — the construction of a cheese factory that will produce hard cheeses. Preliminary calculations have already been made. The facility is expected to process around 100 tons of milk per day and produce approximately 10 tons of finished cheese daily,” said Taras Baran.
The new plant will mark a new business direction for Agroprodservice, which continues to expand the processing segment of its vertically integrated agribusiness. In production and sales of finished products, the company will rely on the technological and market expertise of Molokia, one of Ukraine’s leading dairy producers.
This partnership will combine Agroprodservice’s raw material base and production capacities with Molokia’s experience and technologies, ensuring consistent product quality and process efficiency.
The project is focused on producing hard cheeses aged from 3 to 12 months, manufactured according to standards comparable to those used in Switzerland.
According to InVenture estimates, the investment in building such a plant may range between $20–30 million, depending on the level of automation and the country of equipment origin. Assuming stable demand, the payback period is expected to be 5–7 years.
Earlier, Agroprodservice launched a vegetable canning, pickling, and semi-finished food plant under the “Babusia Marusia” brand, continuing its strategy of business diversification and development of high value-added food products.
