Ukrainian Logistics Group to Build A+ Class Hub Near EU Border in Zakarpattia Region

Logistics group GOL will build an A+ class logistics hub with an area of 13,500 sq. m in Zakarpattia region near the borders with Hungary and Slovakia, with launch scheduled for 2026–2027

International logistics group Global Ocean Link (GOL) has announced the construction of a modern warehouse and logistics complex in the village of Solomonovo, Zakarpattia region, in close proximity to the borders with Hungary and Slovakia. This was reported by the company’s press service.

The project provides for the development of an A+ class logistics hub, which the company views not merely as warehouse real estate, but as a full-scale infrastructure platform for managing goods flows between Ukraine and the European Union. The complex will be focused on logistics operations, distribution, e-commerce, as well as 3PL and 4PL services, including light manufacturing and product packaging.

A key advantage of the future facility is its strategic location near major transport hubs. The site is located approximately 2 km from the Hungarian border, 2.9 km from the Slovak border and 2.3 km from the Chop–Lisky railway terminal, where Ukrainian and European railway infrastructure is interconnected. In addition, the facility will have direct access to the M06 and E50 international highways, providing strong transport connectivity with EU markets and Ukraine’s domestic regions.

The land plot allocated for construction covers 3.6 hectares, while the total area of the logistics complex will exceed 13,500 sq. m. The project includes a warehouse building with a height of up to 10 metres, 16 dock doors, infrastructure for freight transport, and the possibility of further capacity expansion.

According to the company’s plans, the first phase of the facility is scheduled to be commissioned in 2026, while the second phase is planned for 2027. After completion, the hub will be used as a platform for cooperation with 3PL/4PL operators, trading and distribution companies, manufacturing enterprises, the agricultural sector, the pharmaceutical industry and other participants in international supply chains.

GOL notes that the project is aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s transit potential and advancing the integration of the country’s national logistics infrastructure with European markets.
