1. Foam Plastic Production
Before the full-scale war, production volumes varied seasonally between 1,500 m³ and 6,500 m³ per month.
In 2021, foam plastic sales reached $2 million in turnover with $200,000 net profit.
To expand production capacity to 12,000–15,000 m³/month, the following investments are required:
- Expansion of premises by 1,000 m²
- Additional cutting line (used) – $100,000
- Additional packaging line (used) – $50,000
- Floor levelling (1,000 m²) to speed up molding – $30,000
- Two trucks with trailers – $80,000
- Working capital for raw material procurement – $100,000–200,000
2. Polystyrene Concrete Block Production
The production line for polystyrene concrete blocks was launched in November 2021, but operations were disrupted by the full-scale war two months later.
Production output by year:
- 2022 – 500 m³
- 2023 – 1,200 m³
- 2024 – 2,500 m³
Maximum production capacity: 6,000 m³/month
Unit economics:
- Cost per m³ at 300 m³/month – UAH 3,000/m³
- Wholesale price – UAH 3,700/m³
- Retail price at Epicentr – UAH 4,200/m³
At 5,000 m³/month production, cost drops to UAH 2,800/m³.
Not many projects in Ukraine are built with polystyrene concrete yet, but notable examples include: Blockbuster Mall, Ocean Plaza-2 (under construction), Shelest Cottage Town – approx. 50 houses
