Brief Overview of the Project
Our platform is a digital service and mobile application (Android and iOS) for searching and reserving medicines, bringing together users, pharmacies, and pharmacy chains within a single ecosystem. This model is similar to Tabletki.ua — one of the most widely used pharma services in Ukraine, which was acquired by Kyivstar in February 2026 for $160 million.
The project has been operating since 2020 and already has an established technology base, SEO traffic, a partner pharmacy network, and its own internal operating infrastructure for scaling.
Market Context (Why This Is Strategically Attractive)
The Ukrainian pharmaceutical market remains large-scale — its total size is about UAH 240 billion, and by the end of the first three quarters of 2025 it had grown by 17% year-on-year. At the same time, the market includes 18,115 pharmacy outlets, confirming both the scale and the high density of pharmacy retail in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian pharmaceutical market remains large-scale — its total size is about UAH 240 billion, and by the end of the first three quarters of 2025 it had grown by 17% year-on-year.
The market is also highly concentrated: the top 5 pharmacy chains control about 64% of pharmacy retail and around 43% of the country’s pharmacy outlets. This creates strong demand for digital tools that can:
- provide additional traffic,
- increase reservations,
- improve pharmacy unit economics,
- serve as an integration point between pharmaceutical companies, distributors, and retail.
Key Pharmacy Market Players (Forbes, 9M 2025)
Among the largest chains:
- Apteka ANC — revenue of UAH 34.3 billion, 1,620 pharmacies
- Podorozhnyk — UAH 31.8 billion, 2,309 pharmacies
- Apteka 9-1-1 — UAH 24.6 billion, 1,770 pharmacies
- Bazhaiemo Zdorovya — UAH 21 billion, 1,317 pharmacies
- Apteka Dobroho Dnia — UAH 9.5 billion, 784 pharmacies
This confirms that a platform at the intersection of search + booking + pharma retail operates in a large market with strong B2B partners and a clear scaling logic.
Validation of the Model: the Tabletki.ua Case (Market Benchmark)
In February 2026, Kyivstar completed the acquisition of 100% of Tabletki.ua for $160 million — one of the largest wartime M&A deals in Ukraine.
According to Forbes / public deal materials, at the time of sale Tabletki.ua had:
- an average of 14 million online reservations per month (2025),
- GVM of UAH 57.3 billion (for 9M 2025),
- EBITDA of UAH 1 billion (for 9M 2025),
- net profit of UAH 836 million (for 9M 2025).
Forbes also noted separately that the service was used by around 10 million people per month, and in 2024 it cooperated with around 12,000 retail outlets (nearly 70% of pharma retail), which clearly demonstrates the scaling potential of platforms of this type.
This case is a direct market signal: pharmaceutical digital platforms in Ukraine have strategic value for major ecosystem players (telecom, healthtech, pharmacy chains, distributors).

Infrastructure and Technology Stack
The system uses several environments: Dev — for developing and testing new features, Stage — a pre-production environment for integration testing and pre-release validation, and Prod — the production environment serving real users.
The technology stack is built on a microservices architecture and includes: backend in Java 17 using Spring Boot and Quarkus, frontend in Angular, and mobile applications in Ionic and Angular for iOS and Android.
For data storage, the system uses MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch; for caching — Redis; for message exchange — RabbitMQ. Containerization is implemented using Docker and Docker Compose. CI/CD processes are run through GitLab CI. The code is stored in a private GitLab repository, Docker images are stored in Private GitLab Registry, and the infrastructure is deployed on Linux servers.
