BGV Group Management presented two major projects in its portfolio, including the Balakhovskoye graphite deposit in the Kirovohrad region and the Perzhanskoye beryllium ore deposit in the Zhytomyr region.
According to a member of the Board of Directors of BGV GROUP MANAGEMENT Sergey Voitsekhovsky, investments in the extraction and subsequent processing of raw materials are one of the main activities of the company.
BGV Group Management, having invested more than $100 million in Ukrainian mining projects, should "bring Ukraine to the world leaders in certain raw materials areas," he said.
Under the Balakhovsky project, BGV Group Management is carrying out the second stage of pilot testing of the processing plant and is completing the design of the production complex and pilot testing of graphite.
In 2024, the company plans to start construction of one of the largest production facilities in Europe, with a potential capacity of 50,000 tons of graphite concentrate per year and 19,000 tons of spherical graphite for lithium-ion batteries. This can cover a significant part of the needs of the EU market.
Concerning the Perzhansky beryllium deposit, whose reserves amount to 2.34 million tons of ore, the complexity of this deposit allows the concomitant extraction of zinc, rare earth elements and other critical materials.
BGV Group Management is currently working on a pre-feasibility study (PFS) and will soon be ready to officially present the results to investors.
