A new production line has been launched at the Carlsberg Ukraine brewery in Lviv. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported this on May 5, noting that the day began not with coffee, but with the opening of an important industrial facility. According to him, the investment in the project amounts to UAH 610 million, representing a significant contribution to the development of the city’s economy.

Sadovyi emphasized the importance of major international companies not only continuing to operate in Ukraine, but also investing in its economy, supporting local communities, and participating in social initiatives. In particular, he highlighted Carlsberg’s cooperation with the UNBROKEN project, which is aimed at helping people affected by the war.

Carlsberg Ukraine is part of the international Carlsberg Group, one of the world’s largest brewing companies. The Ukrainian division includes three plants located in Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, and Lviv. At the same time, the Lviv brewery has special significance, as it is considered the oldest industrial brewery in the country.

The company produces a wide range of products under various brands, including Lvivske, Robert Doms, Carlsberg, Tuborg, Kronenbourg 1664, Arsenal, Kvas Taras, Somersby, Guinness, Seth & Riley’s Garage, Warsteiner, Grimbergen, and others.

The material also mentions that in February 2025, Carlsberg sold its business in Russia for approximately $320 million. This amount was significantly lower than the estimated value of the company’s Russian assets, which had previously been valued at $1.06 billion, more than three times the transaction amount.
