According to Deputy Minister of Economy Vitalii Kindrativ, the new park will become a key driver for the development of the processing industry and attracting investment to the region. It will help create approximately 1,500 jobs in food production, non-metallic mineral manufacturing, mechanical engineering, furniture production, and other sectors. The initiative is part of the state’s “Made in Ukraine” economic policy, aimed at supporting domestic manufacturers.
To date, Ukraine has registered 105 industrial parks, with “Pivdennyi” becoming the 14th to be added to the Register in 2025.
The initiative was launched by the Podilsk City Council, which also appointed LLC “EKO RISHENNYA” as the managing company. The park will cover a total area of nearly 37.4 hectares. Key industries to be developed include food processing, production of non-metallic minerals, metal products, machinery and equipment, furniture, and scientific and technical activities.
Capital investment in the park's infrastructure is estimated at approximately UAH 3.7 billion. The Podilsk City Council has confirmed its intention to attract around $83 million in investments. Funding sources will include the managing company, park participants, investors, international technical assistance, as well as national and local budgets.
