Since the beginning of the great war, the EFE company has already invested $15 million and continues to increase the production of products necessary for the needs of reconstruction. In 2023, at the industrial site in Shchyrka, EFE started the production of bridge beams with a capacity of about 120 pieces per month. They were used, in particular, for the restoration of the bridge in Irpen - one of the iconic large-scale reconstruction projects.
From February 24, 2022, EFE stopped production for just three days. The company started receiving the first orders after a week. Since then, it has not only restored, but also significantly expanded the production base. In 2023, the company launched two ready-mix concrete plants in addition to the existing three in order to provide uninterrupted support for reconstruction projects. Today, EFE owns five powerful industrial facilities in Ukraine.
The company is one of the leaders in the production of ready-mixed concrete — the available production capacity reaches 800 m³ per hour. Also, EFE has its own large fleet of special equipment, which provides customers with fast and timely delivery.
"Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we have invested more than $15 million in the growth of production capacity. In particular, this concerned the expansion of production, modernization of equipment and automation of processes. In addition to the launch of additional concrete production plants, we put into operation new production lines for the production of paving stones and reinforced concrete products," said EFE General Director Ercan Oztop.
According to Erjan Oztop, the EFE staff grew organically even before the Great War. The company started its activity in Ukraine back in 2013 with one factory for the production of ready-mixed concrete, which employed 12 people. Currently, the EFE team consists of 450 highly qualified specialists.
The company pays special attention to investments in automation. "Although we were able to increase the staff by 30% after February 24, 2022, the need for new employees remains. This is what prompts large investments in the automation of production processes. We recently purchased a 3D rebar bending machine from the Italian company Schnell with a capacity of 8 tons per day. This allows us to replace 25 people at the same time and manufacture metal structures in the shortest possible time with high quality," says Oztop.
