Epicenter retail giant in Ukraine to launch a chain of amusement parks Epiland

The first Epiland amusement park will appear in Kyiv this summer marking the first step in Epicenter shopping mall owners’ ambitions to set up their own amusement parks chain

Epicentr K hypermarket chain managed by Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Hereha and his wife Halyna aims to provide its visitors with a completely new leisure experience in synergy with shopping, therefore, it is launching a new network of Epiland family amusement parks throughout Ukraine.

The projects will be developed in two formats: family amusement parks with an area of up to 4.5 thousand square meters, and 15-30 thousand square meters. Each park will be unique.

“Shopping malls have been the main place for family leisure for many years all over the word,” said Victoria Zelenska, the company’s Exclusive Concepts and Development Director.

“This trend is further strengthened by the need to receive positive emotions amid permanent stress, so we felt a demand for a high-quality entertainment component in our facilities for families with children.”

The first Epiland amusement park – taking Planet Pandora design concept - will open in June 2024 on the second floor of the capital’s Epicenter shopping center at Polarnaya str., 20-D. The area of the park will be 3,000 square meters. The project is aimed at entertaining kids under 12 years old, and holding exclusive children’s birthday parties. Nanny service will become an additional advantage allowing to leave your child with a professional babysitter and go shopping in the mall.

“Our Epiland network will have a unique theme of ‘Traveling through space and time’, which will be reflected in interior design, customized attractions, and network’s legend,” said Kateryna Chernyak, Department of Entertainment Concepts Head.

“It will include safe, high-quality equipment from the best global and domestic manufacturers: labyrinths, trampolines, playgrounds, climbing frames, VR simulators, gaming and redemption machines, autodromes, themed quests, party rooms, animation, our own family cafe, immersive dining, and extreme attractions in some concepts.”

Epicenter K also plans to open amusement parks in Green Gallery shopping center (Kyiv Oblast, Chabany village, Odeske shose str., 8) and Bucha Gallery shopping center (Kyiv Oblast, Bucha city, Nove shose str., 1) in 2024.
