This wind energy project is implemented by the company "Wind Parks of Ukraine", which is one of the leaders of wind energy in Ukraine with more than 10 years of experience in the national sector of renewable energy.
The wind turbine with a unit installed capacity of 4.8 MW has a tower height of 120 m and a rotor diameter of 152 m. With such technical characteristics, this wind turbine can be called a "medium-sized wind turbine" compared to other wind turbines operating in Ukraine today.
Installation of the first wind turbine is an important stage in the implementation of any wind energy project. The next step is to connect to the electrical network and generate electricity for consumers.
The total installed capacity of the planned wind farm will be 80 MW. The amount of electricity that will be produced by the wind farm is enough to annually supply nearly 50,000 households with environmentally friendly electricity.
As of today, 175,000 kWh of electricity has already been generated by the first wind power plant in Transcarpathia.The wind turbine is currently operating with a power limit of 2 MW. In accordance with the technical regulations, the wind turbine undergoes control and verification of the correctness of the equipment's operation, as well as the first technical maintenance (MO).
The wind farm is expected to reach its rated installed capacity of 4.8 MW within the next few days and generate electricity for consumers without restrictions.
