IKEA mulls launching production and open stores in Ukraine

Swedish furniture retailer is considering the option of locating production in the Lviv region of Ukraine

IMEA mulls launching production and open its stores in Ukraine, told Roman Mathis from the investment policy department of the Lviv regional state administration.

The talks were carried at EBA Lviv-Western Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association with the top representatives of IKEA. The parties agreed to move on to the details of locating production facilities of the company in the territory of Lviv region.

The market entry of the world major furniture retailer involves plenty of work to yet to be done in the analysis of a large number of different data about the Ukrainian market.

IKEA also revealed interest in cooperation with Ukrainian suppliers of wooden furniture and components for it.
