In 2024 new McDonaldʼs restaurants will appear in Chernivtsi and Uzhhorod. These are the only regional centers that still do not have McDonaldʼs restaurants. In total, the catering chain plans to open at least 6 more new restaurants.
Yulia Badritdinova, CEO of McDonald's Ukraine, spoke about new investments in the expansion of the McDonald's network.
"In 2023, McDonaldʼs invested UAH 1 billion in opening new and updating old restaurants. The Ukrainian division of the company received all investments from the head office. We plan to develop not only in the regions, but also in satellites of Kyiv," added Yulia Badritdinova.
In Chernivtsi, McDonald's will be located on Nezalezhnosti Avenue near the Tourist Hotel. The fast food restaurant in Chernivtsi will have two floors. A children's playground will be installed in the premises, as well as a McDrive. McDonald's management plans to hire 130 workers. In Uzhgorod, a McDonald's establishment was planned to be opened on Uzhanska Street.

As you know, McDonald's closed all its establishments in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, after the start of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation. From September 2022, the company began opening restaurants in the center and west of the country. Also last year, McDonaldʼs Ukraine had 85 million visits, which is 70% of visitors from the pre-war figure. This is, in particular, 7 million customers per month.
As of March 2024, the McDonald's chain in Ukraine has more than 100 restaurants in 24 cities.
In 2023, the turnover of the company with foreign investments "McDonald's Ukraine LTD" increased to UAH 12.9 billion. This is 296.8% more than in 2022 (3.2 billion UAH). The profit of McDonald's in Ukraine reached UAH 1.2 billion. While the company ended 2022 with a loss of UAH 2 billion.
