Through 460,000 euros in grant financing, a solar power plant will be built in Chortkov, Ternopol region, to enable solar-powered water treatment for a stable, clean water supply.
Vinnitsa has received a total of 6 million euros, 3 million euros from E5P and from Sweden each, to upgrade its central heating system. This project is the second that marks the development of Vinnitsa's central heating system, which is funded by Nefco with contributions from E5P and Sweden. The first was part of the DemoUkrainaDH programme, which aimed to demonstrate the benefits of state-of-the-art central heating technology and system solutions in Ukraine.
E5P was created during Sweden's European Union presidency in 2009. E5P has to date supported 27 investment projects across Ukraine by providing over 1 billion euros for them.
Nefco is an international financial institution established by Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden in 1990 to fund the expansion of North European green solutions on global markets.
Nefco has implemented more than 300 projects in over 100 municipalities in Ukraine since 2010. Nefco currently pursues recovery projects in nearly 40 Ukrainian municipalities.
