Swiss food and beverage company Nestlé intends to invest UAH 10 billion in developing its business in Ukraine by the end of 2026. During the first half of the year, the company invested UAH 5 billion, directing the funds towards expanding production capacity and promoting its products. Against the backdrop of these investments, Nestlé’s sales in Ukraine continue to grow faster than the fast-moving consumer goods market.

According to the company, UAH 200 million was invested in the development of its Ukrainian factories in January–June 2026, while a further UAH 4.8 billion was allocated to the development of product categories, including marketing, advertising campaigns, consumer communications, and brand promotion. In the first half of the year, Nestlé’s sales increased by 19.3% in value terms and by 10% in volume terms.

The company’s business growth exceeded the market average. In the FMCG segments in which Nestlé operates, the market grew by an average of 15%, while the company recorded stronger performance. The fastest growth was reported in the coffee capsule category, where sales increased by 30%. Baby food and pet care products grew by 20%, confectionery products by 18%, soluble coffee by 16%, and culinary products by 12%.

Roman Yanovych, CEO of Nestlé Ukraine and Moldova, said that the company’s above-market growth confirmed the effectiveness of its strategy and provided a basis for further increasing investment.

By the end of 2026, Nestlé plans to bring its total investment to UAH 10 billion, focusing on production expansion and maintaining the company’s growth momentum. One of the key projects will be the continued development of the instant noodle factory in the village of Smolyhiv, Volyn Region. The company has already invested €43 million in launching the facility and has decided to increase total investment in the project to €70 million by the end of 2027. As part of the project, a second and third production line will be installed at the plant.

Nestlé has operated in the Ukrainian market since 1994. In 1998, the company acquired control of the Svitoch confectionery factory in Lviv and became its sole owner in 2018. Nestlé Ukraine LLC was established in 2003, when the company also acquired food producer Volynholding. In 2010, Nestlé acquired Kharkiv-based Tekhnokom, which manufactures products under the Mivina brand. In 2012, the Nestlé Business Services Europe centre began operations in Lviv and currently serves the company’s divisions in more than 40 countries.

Nestlé’s portfolio in Ukraine includes coffee and beverages, confectionery products, culinary products, baby and specialised nutrition, breakfast cereals, and pet food.

The company continues to steadily increase investment in Ukrainian production. In 2024, Nestlé invested more than UAH 900 million in modernising its three Ukrainian factories, including automation, digitalisation, and improvements in employee safety. In 2025, investment in the development of production facilities reached UAH 1.2 billion, including the launch of the company’s fourth plant in Ukraine — an instant noodle factory in the Volyn Region.
