Russian Severstal sells its metallurgical Dneprometiz in Ukraine

Severstal made the announcement about closing the deal of Dneprometiz

Cambay Services Limited, the subsidiary company of Severstal, sold 100% shares of Dealzone Holding Ltd that held 98.6% of PJSC Dneprometiz, according to the official web site of Severstal. The company does not disclose details of the deal neither it gives a name of the buying side. Earlier, Severstal planned to sell Ukrainian Dneprometiz to some German company. The Russian owners emphasize that the plant is operating at the fullest capacities and its production cycle is not linked with other companies of Severstal. To remind, Severstal purchased 60% stake of Dneprometiz for USD 50mln from TAS Group, associated with domestic tycoon Sergiy Tigipko. Later, the Russian owner increased its stake up to 98.8%. Dneprometiz is one of the largest enterprises of its kind in Ukraine, but it relies heavily upon supplies of raw materials from ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih and Metinvest.
