According to an extract from the official trade register of Austria, the company TAS Overseas Investments Limited (Cyprus), owned by Sergei Tigipko, became the majority owner of the Austrian carriage building plant TransAnt GmbH in the city of Linz.
It is reported that after the increase in the authorized capital of TransAnt, the share of TAS Overseas Investments increased from 40.03% to 61.38%. At the same time, the shares of TransAnt's TAS partners decreased: Voestalpine Stahl GmbH - from 48.1% to 30.98%, Rail Cargo Austria AG - from 11.87% to 7.65%.
The Tigipko Group first invested in TransAnt GmbH at the beginning of 2023.
The partners of the Ukrainian group are the Austrian steel company Voestalpine and the freight division of the Austrian railway.
Earlier, TAS stated that the common Ukrainian-Austrian project is intended to become the key to the entry of the Ukrainian plant Dneprovagonmash into the European Union market with modern models of freight cars.
