After building a logistics hub for €8 million in Poland, postal operator Meest invests $72 million in building its own network in six European countries

Meest Group Operations Director Oleksandr Vaulin said that in May 2024, Meest International – part of the Meest Group founded by Ukrainian entrepreneur Rostyslav Kisil – launched a new logistics center near the city of Dembitsa in Poland, 170 km from the border, with an investment of €8 million.

This hub is 8,000 square meters. m capable of processing 5,000 parcels per hour. At the same time, only about half of the parcels processed at the center near Dembits will go to Ukraine.

The group already uses a similar complex near Warsaw.

According to Rostislav Kisil, by 2028 Meest branches and logistics hubs, in addition to Poland, should appear in Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria and Greece.

In expansion in Central and Eastern Europe, the group plans to invest $72 million by 2028, or $18 million annually.

The owner of the group explained that it will be difficult for the Ukrainian company to enter the markets of the more developed countries of Western Europe, as they are already dominated by large players, but the countries chosen for Meest's expansion are not yet covered by the networks of world leaders.
