Ukraine has received the seventh tranche of financial assistance from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program in the amount of €2.8 billion. The funds will be directed toward financing priority state budget expenditures, including social and humanitarian programs. This was announced by Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko.
Taking into account the repayment of previously provided advance financing, the actual amount received by the state budget totaled €2.6 billion.
The current payment has become the seventh tranche under the EU’s long-term support mechanism for Ukraine. To receive it, Ukraine fulfilled 11 key indicators under the Ukraine Plan, covering reforms in public administration, economic policy, energy, digitalization, and the rule of law.
According to the Prime Minister, Ukraine also implemented ahead of schedule a number of commitments planned for the next stages of the program. As a result, the country will, for the first time, receive additional financial compensation for the early implementation of agreed reforms.
The Ukraine Facility program, launched by the European Union in 2024, provides for up to €50 billion in grants and concessional loans for Ukraine during 2024–2027. The financing is aimed at supporting economic recovery, infrastructure reconstruction, modernization of public administration, and accelerating the country’s European integration.
The support mechanism is linked to the implementation of a comprehensive structural transformation plan. The document provides for 69 reforms and 151 indicators aimed at strengthening economic resilience, advancing digital technologies, promoting the green transition, and reinforcing the state’s institutional system.
As of the end of May 2026, Ukraine had completed 86 measures under the plan, while another 65 were at various stages of implementation.
With the new tranche included, the total volume of financing attracted by Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility continues to grow and remains one of the country’s largest sources of external macro-financial support from the European Union.
