Ukraine’s Largest IT Distributor ERC Launches New Logistics Center in Kyiv

International IT distributor ERC will open a new logistics center at a new location to replace its warehouse complex in Kyiv, which was destroyed by a Russian missile strike

International distribution holding ERC, one of the largest players in Ukraine’s IT distribution market, has begun restoring its logistics infrastructure after its office and warehouse complex was destroyed in a Russian missile attack. The company announced the opening of a new large warehouse, which will enable it to resume product supplies and ensure the continuity of operations.

Although firefighting efforts are still ongoing at the site of the destroyed logistics complex, which was hit on the night of July 2, ERC is already implementing its recovery plan. According to the company, temperatures in the fire hotspots remained above 500°C for a long time, causing the fire to reignite repeatedly. Rescuers estimate that the full elimination of the fire’s consequences will take several more days, but this is not preventing the company from launching new logistics capacities in parallel.

The company said that a new large warehouse will begin operating in the coming days, serving as an additional remote logistics center. On Tuesday, the new site is expected to receive dozens of trucks carrying goods delivered to the company, after which the first major wholesale shipments to customers will begin.

At the next stage, ERC plans to receive new batches of products, build up inventory at the new location and restore mass deliveries to partners through various logistics channels. The company expects to restore its full product range and resume all services as quickly as possible.

ERC’s office and warehouse complex in Kyiv’s Obolon district was completely destroyed as a result of a Russian ballistic missile strike. The site stored significant inventories belonging to the company. In addition, the nearby warehouse of the MOYO electronics retail chain, which is part of ERC Group, was also destroyed.

The company reported that the damaged real estate and property were insured. Damage assessment is currently underway to obtain insurance compensation. At the same time, ERC is preparing a package of documents to file claims for compensation for losses caused by Russia with international courts and jurisdictions in countries where frozen Russian assets are located.

ERC is one of the largest international distribution holdings operating in Ukraine. The company supplies products of leading global brands to retail chains, system integrators and corporate clients, and also develops the MOYO electronics retail chain. The launch of the new logistics center will allow the company to restore supply chains, minimize the consequences of the loss of its main warehouse and ensure fulfillment of its obligations to partners.
