Ukrainian Defense-Tech Startup M-Fly Secures $1.4M to Advance Drone Technologies

Ukrainian startup M-Fly has raised $1.4 million to develop and manufacture high-precision stabilizers and targeting systems for drones

Ukrainian defense-technology startup M-Fly, part of the Brave1 cluster, has secured approximately $1.4 million in investment to advance its solutions designed for frontline needs. The announcement was made by Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov on November 27.

One of the company’s key products is a high-precision gimbal stabilizer for drone cameras. According to the minister, most Ukrainian drone manufacturers have long lacked access to such equipment. The new stabilizer provides stable and clear imagery even during high-speed flights and in challenging weather conditions.

These devices are already being used on reconnaissance drones operated by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Because the image remains sharp and free of motion blur, commanders can plan missions more accurately and make better-informed tactical decisions.

Fedorov also noted that M-Fly is currently in negotiations for its next — significantly larger — investment round.

M-Fly develops advanced deep-tech solutions for the defense sector. One of its flagship products is an autonomous guidance system for unmanned aerial vehicles and munitions. This system enables precise target engagement even under heavy electronic warfare interference.

The technology operates fully autonomously and does not require a continuous radio link with an operator. This makes drones significantly more resilient to EW, improving both accuracy and survivability in combat.

The company’s guidance modules are already installed on FPV drones, loitering munitions, and drop munitions. Versions for larger reconnaissance UAVs, ground robotic systems, naval drones, and missile platforms are also under development.

In addition to guidance systems, M-Fly manufactures stabilized gimbals and integrates artificial intelligence capabilities that enhance image stabilization and support automatic target tracking. The company has launched small-scale production in Ukraine and is actively working on scaling it further.
