US-based edtech startup Highfive, which develops software solutions to help schools build empathy and enhance discipline through evidence-based support for positive behavior, has secured $250,000 in funding from Roosh X.
Founded in 2022 by Nathan Maynard and Dr Luke Roberts, Highfive develops evidence-based software solutions to help schools build empathy, improve discipline, and support positive behavior at all levels, from individual students to entire districts.
The startup is present in 36 states and serves 1.5 million students globally. Highfive claims to have saved 850,000 hours of school administrative time to date through its focus on empathy and acceptance in learning.
The funding round was led by Roosh X, an investment vehicle of Roosh Investment Group. Roosh X invests in profitable businesses, providing support to help tech entrepreneurs with tailored R&D and operational assistance to scale disruptive technologies globally.
"Roosh X will work with Highfive to co-build a new version of their flagship classroom product, aiming to reach 100 new schools, with 15,000 users by the end of the year," Roosh's team, commented on LinkedIn.
The investment also saw support from Boston-based LearnLaunch Fund + Accelerator, an impact-driven VC fund and accelerator that invests in and supports edtech entrepreneurs to transform education through tailored funding and mentorship.
With the fresh funding, Highfive plans to develop a scalable version of its product, expand its offerings into new schools across the US, enhance its AI strategy to automate manual work and reporting processes, and expand the app's functionality with additional AI features.
