According to the Ministry of Economy, the Cabinet of Ministers at a meeting on December 16 approved an order by which it included Uzhgorod industrial park in the Ukrainian Register of industrial parks.
The new industrial park is located directly within the city. The park will become the 60th industrial park included in the said register.
The concept of the industrial park in Uzhgorod, located on the area of 10.1907, provides for the creation of up to 500 jobs in the manufacturing sector, in particular in the processing industry.
According to Yulia Sviridenko, head of the Ministry of Economy, the government is pursuing a consistent policy of creating conditions for the development of industrial parks as points of economic growth and post-war reconstruction of the country. She stressed that the development of industrial parks will contribute to the restoration of industry, including export-oriented, with a high share of value added.
Yulia Sviridenko believes that industrial parks will contribute to the development of local communities, as new small and medium businesses will be created there, as a result of which they will receive additional revenues to their budget.
